The Diploma:

This course covers all aspects of Swedish and Remedial Body Massage techniques. It includes Anatomy and Physiology of the whole body, Business and Professional Ethics. The qualification gained is a Cheshire Academy Diploma and/or the ITEC. It is taught over 100 hours and the dress code requires smart, professional salon whites, tights and white soled shoes.

Course Content:

Detailed study of all the Body Systems, Body Massage Techniques, the History and Philosophy of Massage, Physiological and Psychological Aspects, Consultation, Client Care, Classical Massage Movements, Infrared Treatments, the Holistic Approach, other Complementary Therapies, Business and Professional Ethics.

Examination:

A theory paper of 3 hours, a practical examination of 1 hour and oral questions. Case studies of 5 clients treated 4 times each are also required.
