Electrolysis ITEC

The Diploma:

This course will provide all the necessary background knowledge and practical skills in this method of hair removal used extensively in the beauty industry. A high level of professionalism is need by practitioners and the ITEC examination ensures that this is obtained. The Diploma is taught over 200 hours and it covers two main areas:

Epilation:

Study of the Skin and its Functions, Skin Analysis, Galvanic Method of Electrolysis, Blend Method, Daithermic Method, Hair Follicles, Causes of Hair Growth.

The Endocrine System:

Contra-indications and Precautions, Case History taking and Consultation, Client Handling Method, Duration and Frequency of Treatments, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Aids, Herpes, Hepatitis, Special Precautions needed, Sterilisation, Aftercare Recommendations, Record Cards.

Examination:

A theory paper of 3 hours, a practical examination of 10 - 15 minutes and oral questions.

The ITEC qualification will count towards the ITEC Holistic Clinical Honours and ITEC Complementary Therapies Diploma.
