Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Pre-Requisites:

ITEC Anatomy & Physiology Diploma or equivalent.

The Diploma:

This course is designed to suit practising Holistic Practitioners and members of the Medical and Caring professions.

Lymphatic drainage massage technique is practised in varying forms worldwide. It is a very specialised technique of manual body massage therapy that is being applied with increasing success to conditions such as fluid retention, oedema, toxic build up, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME), lymphoedema, immune deficiencies, migraine, hormone imbalances, and recurring infections such as cold and influenza. It is also a very effective facial treatment for anti-ageing and acne conditions.

Our course is affirmation of the traditional manual drainage technique, originally developed by Doctor Emile Vodder. Our aim is to teach students the method of this gentle, non-intrusive, non-mechanical massage to the highest of clinical standards. The theory session will cover anatomy of the lymphatic and immune systems, lymphatic circulation, therapeutic uses and contra-indications.

Our ultimate goal is to teach the practitioner how to care and help their patients suffering from any of the above mentioned conditions.

Practice and Home Study are essential throughout the course and 100% attendance is required. There is a limited number of 7 places available for this course so early enrollment is advisable.
