ITEC Anatomy, Physiology & Massage Diploma, Physiatrics, Aestheticienne, or The Beauty Specialist Diploma. |
The Certificate: |
An ideal qualification for those wishing to help clients in our multicultural society. The course covers the origin of the massage as a way of keeping hair in peak condition and the specialised treatment techniques used now to soothe and ease tension in the head and scalp. Therapists have the choice to extend their study over two weekends to take the ITEC examination (alternatively you can receive an Academy Certificate that will allow you to practice after just one workshop, provided that insurance is obtained through The Guild of Beauty Therapists). |

Anatomy and Physiology, Bones of the Cranium, Muscles of the Face and Head, Blood Supply of the Face and Head, Nerve Supply of the Face and Head, Lymphatic Supply to the Face and Head, Contra-indications, Hygiene and Safety Precautions, Recognition of Skin/Scalp Diseases and Conditions. Face and Head Massage incorporating all classical movements, Basic History of Indian Head Massage. Five one off Case Studies. Contact Teaching - Minimum 25 Hours. |
Examination: |
A 2 Hour Theory Paper, a 30 Minute Practical, Consultations to be filled out, a Full Head Massage to be Performed, and Oral Questions relating to Treatment |
The ITEC Diploma will count towards ITEC Holistic Clinical Honours and ITEC Complementary Therapies Diploma.
